Ally Sheedy Bio
Alexandra Elizabeth Sheedy has been an American actress since 1983. Her film debut was in Bad Boys (1983). She later joined the Brat Pack and then went to appear in the films WarGames The Breakfast Club, WarGames, as well as Short Circuit. Her performance in Lisa Cholodenko's High Art won her the Independent Spirit Award Best Female Actress in a Leading Role. Sheedy was married David Lansbury on April 12, 1992. David Lansbury was the son of Edgar Lansbury who produced Godspell and was the cousin to Angela Lansbury. Beckett (born in 1994) is the son of the couple. She also wrote two books. Her most famous work is the Bratpack movies The Breakfast Club & St. Elmo's Fire. The Breakfast Club is the title of a John Hughes movie. The meaning behind the film name "The Breakfast Club" stems from a nickname certain schools use for detention. Detention students would show up earlier in the day, probably at breakfast time.
